The Connemara is a breed of pony, originating from Ireland and is a descendant of the Celtic pony. They are very talented and compete at the highest levels of show jumping, dressage, eventing and competitive driving. They are naturally athletic and agile, but quiet and calm to ride. They have a wonderful temperament and are the ideal child's pony.In appearance, they are very attractive, with a fine head set on a well arched neck. They have well conformed shoulders, allowing for a good length of stride, a deep and broad chest and powerful muscular quarters. They are a tough and intelligent pony with a great amount of stamina.
